Cirque
Cirques are formed by a type of glacial erosion called valley glaciers, in which it scoops out deep depressions at high elevations where snow accumulates.
This is a picture of a cirque lake which is an alpine lake in Custer County, Idaho, United States. It is located in the White Cloud Mountains in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. While at high elevations, snow accumulates in the deep depression where water melts creating a lake.
